Dance Dance Revolution

We love our Wii.  One of the games our family enjoys is Dance Dance Revolution.  The "stranger" in the pictures is our friend Jer ~ he was the former "reigning champion" until Makayla challenged him. He was not happy when a 12 year old girl de-throned him.

Makayla does not like it when it is not her turn, so she stands off to the side and play without a mat.

Like I said, this is a family event and so even Brooklynn plays...

New Year's Eve

We have a family tradition that every year on New Year's Eve, we go to a hotel with a few other friends.  We swim, eat junk food, jump on the beds, eat junk food, stay up late and eat more junk food!  Here are some of the swimming pictures we took.

Let's Start with CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas this year was very low key.  We got to sleep in until about 8:00.  Santa did not wrap all the gifts brought, but he did wrap the entrance to the room.

Brooklynn's favorite gift this year was a Fur Berry.  It is a "stuffed animal" that rolls up into a ball.  She even spent the "Christmas money" she got to buy another one so her orange one would have a friend.

Stephen got quite a few things that he loved!  He got a new DS, that Michael had changed the case on.  It is now a one-of-a-kind pokemon yellow!

Stephen also got an I-Coaster that you build a magnetic track for a steel ball to follow.  Michael and Stephen had a great time building many different tracks.  Brooklynn even enjoyed making them, but because she doesn't understand physics she needed help to create a track where the ball would actually make it from beginning to end.

Michael made Computer Desks for Makayla and Stephen this year.  These were such a hit that they cleaned AND vacuumed their rooms so they could set up their computers in their bedroom.

Michael's favorite gift was actually given to Stephen.  It is called a rip stick.  It is like a skateboard that only has one wheel under each foot.  There is an instructional CD that comes with it and within minutes Michael was on the "board" trying to break his neck.  He actually did very well!

BUT ~ if you ask Makayla, the best thing about Christmas this year is her new PHONE.
